Mr. Lewis practices matrimonial and family law, commercial litigation, as well as art law. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels.

Mr. Lewis has helped litigate numerous matrimonial actions with martial assets in excess of $20 Million. He has also helped successfully litigate some of the largest art fraud cases in recent history.

Mr. Lewis graduated from the University of Rochester in 1999, with distinction, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society and from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, in 2002.

While at Cardozo, Mr. Lewis served as a member of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.

Also at Cardozo, Mr. Lewis was selected to serve as a Teaching Assistant to Prof. Julie Interdonato, where he helped instruct law students in legal writing, with an emphasis on matrimonial and family law, including equitable distribution, child support and spousal maintenance.

Mr. Lewis also possesses a management certificate in Finance from the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, which makes him particularly suited to handle the financial aspects of matrimonial law.

Before joining Malcolm S. Taub LLP, in 2003, Mr. Lewis was an associate at a prominent Manhattan boutique litigation firm.

Mr. Lewis is a member of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section; The New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section; and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Mr. Lewis was also a Judge at the 2007 BMI International Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice law in New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
